About the Author
Adyashanti has been described as a warm, down-to-earth, deeply-realized teacher by book reviewer Rodney Stevenson. After many years of Zen training he had a series of profound awakenings and began teaching at the request of his teacher in 1996. He speaks the language of both Zen Buddhism and Vedanta and brings a deep transmission to his students through his presence and love of truth. He teaches in the U.S. throughout the West, Northwest and Southwest.

Unbounded Awareness

This is one of the very best books on the awakened state that I have read. It is simple, clear and easy to read. I read the entire book in less than a few hours. Adyashanti speaks of the direct path to enlightenment, which is simple but profound. Come to realize that the limited "self" does not exist by surrendering to complete emptiness. When we let conceptualization, judgment, attachments, aversions and the like go, when we let everything go, we find that there is only unbounded awareness. Life becomes effortless. It is filled with wonder and grace. Unconditional love flows freely. I love the line, "Cessation of struggle is like free falling through space without a care in the world." Read the book to get a sense of the awakened state and then just yield to it.

A must read. One of a kind.

I love all. of Adyashanti's works. He is simple and clear but very deep. His insights are his own and not borrowed. He is the only author other than Daniel Stacy Barron that I have read that understands there are three subtle vehicles that need to be brought into enlightenment. Most authors deal with enlightenment of the mental vehicle only, overlooking the emotional and etheric. He doesn't mention it directly but explains that awakening happens in the head, heart & gut. He is especially clear that awakening can be immediate or a process, and that most people experience the process.

One of a kind, true teacher.

I found Adyashanti teachings on YouTube and fell in love with his wisdom.
His teaching can be compared to the great Ramana Maharishi, no less.
Spiritual seekers will get a glimpse in to the true meaning of awakening and not what a lot of books and other philosophies are promising.
It is a true call for spiritual seekers to wake up from the "egoistic search" for something out there and not within.
