Got this book because I was tired of dieting with no results

I purchased Eat Meat and Stop Jogging earlier this year. This looks to be the sequel, and just as its predecessor really held up to the same quality. Now, essentially the author, Mark Sheridan, is talking about a low carb diet. But, much like the other book I mentioned, the material here is updated, practical and based on experiential memory. He clearly didn't read this from another book, or ONLY "did research" for this material. This is based on his very own experience - and there is no greater teacher than experience itself.

I got this book especially because I have an addiction to sugar , which I know keeps the fat on whilst i'm trying to build muscle instead. Another reason I got this book is because I want to do this and have a healthy diet - without exercising. Call me lazy - but it's just that I'm so busy that even 30 min at a gym is hard for me to do even on a semi-consistent basis.

There's alot of great stuff in here, I could actually write another book on it. One real gem is a clearing up of the misconception that diary is 100% bad for you. In fact, it leads to better health. The author goes in to show how Diary intake is related to the body, and compares it (with statistics and great graphic illustrations) other things like Fruits, Eggs, Nuts/Seeds etc. So not only is one myth busted, but it comes with the knowledge of other facts as well.

Great book. You won't be sorry, and your body will thank you!

Excellent sequel !

I was looking forward to reading the second installment in Mike’s series. This is the sequel to Eat Meat and Stop Jogging. It starts off with going over some of the concepts we read in the prequel, and reminds us of the basics, but really starts getting into putting the plan into action, going over several principles.
From what types of food to buy :
organic vs. non organic
Grass fed vs. conventional factory grown
Ketosis is explained in detail in this book, and why it is important related to burning fat, not carbs.
Feeding muscle, starving fat.
Why essential vitamins and minerals can only be found in meat.
Aiding our nutrition with mostly raw vegetables, and what the benefits are vs. cooked vegetables.
How saturated fats are not the enemy, and which fats to focus on.
Why you should not cook with Olive oil, and use coconut oil, butter or lard instead.
Really goes into how dairy is good for you.
Guys, you need to get over your salad complex, why veggies are a must.
The importance of staying hydrated, and his 2:1 ratio, as well as his weekly 6:1 ratio.
Complete with 3 phases, explains them by weeks.
Even throws in some meal plans, vegetables, to eat and not to eat, fruits, and even a Feast day!!??
I really enjoyed the first book, but this second book really gets things in motion and answers some questions, we might have had in the first one. Definitely recommend for anyone interested in weightlifting, a general healthy lifestyle, LCHF, Paleo and Keto diets.

Reliable and a Useful Practical Guide-Love the Concept!

I have read plenty of books on healthy food practices. Among all of them I find this book very helpful and as a practical guide for my life. Among the very few of books that say eat well rather than dieting, this book impressed me in great deal. I really accept the concept of Mike Sheridan which he has expressed in this book. The language he has used is very simple and every one can easily understand this.

Today many people focus on diet to shape up their body and in turn they loose their weight leaving them unhealthy and loose their immune. Mike's concept provides a great solution for this and a low carbohydrate strategy is introduced. This book will show the importance of this strategy and how to follow it under the guidelines given. Burning the excessive fat is a highly recommended procedure and really useful for every one. I am looking forward to follow the guidelines under milk and dairy products as well.

I am definitely going to follow this book. I Highly recommend this book for others as well.
