Review
"Street-lit pioneer Woods (True to the Game) makes her hardcover debut with this gritty, botched robbery tale. While giving a sympathetic voice to her financially desperate heroine-who entertains no fantasies of knights in shining armor and uses sex to get what she wants-Woods observes that easy cash comes with a steep price. Her fans are sure to demand this; buy multiple copies."
— Library Journal on ALIBI

"Woods writes with feeling and a strong sense of her Philadelphia setting; in addition her characters manage to become more than just stereotypes they initially appear to be. Fast-paced and exciting, Alibi is an action-filled story about the desperate life of one urban girl and of the consequences trying to break away. Woods' following will snap this up, but it can find a wider audience with thriller readers who like George Pelecanos' The Turnaround and with fans of the urban crime drama The Wire."—Booklist on ALIBI

"This New Jersey author has the urban fiction genre locked up."—Sunday Star Ledger on ALIBI

"Street legend Woods goes hardcover but stays True to the Game."—Library Journal on ALIBI

"Woods keeps it raw in this gutsy sequel that features the round-the-way girl who fell hard for Quadir, the millionaire drug dealer."—Essence magazine on TRUE TO THE GAME II

"Urban fiction fans will welcome the melodramatic final entry in bestseller Woods's True to the Game trilogy, which vividly depicts the 1990s drug culture."
—Publishers Weekly on TRUE TO THE GAME III

The final Dutch remixed!
By Mr. Chocolate
I know a lot of readers don't like Terri Woods because her and Brother Teague have had differences and I'm not on here to give my opinion on that situation.I give this novel 3.5 stars. I love the Dutch novels and I can't get enough of them so I had to pick up this version even though I already have Dutch:The Finale. Like the previous reviewer mentioned,it's like an alternate ending. It gives more insight into Goldilocks, Odouwo's, and Craze's backgrounds. I liked Dutch:The Finale better than International Gangster, but this is still a good read if you like the Dutch novels. One major difference between the two books without giving anything away is that with Dutch:The Finale there is a chance for at least one more novel. With this one,it is truly the finale. I hope my review helps. PEACE.

Two Finales....
By MsFred
I read both finales and I thought both books had its strong points but Dutch III could have easily been given 5 stars if only Teri & Kwame would have squashed their beef and given their readers what we were looking for and deserved...believability!

I loved the way Kwame dove into Dutch's love affair w/Nina, how he fashioned Angel's love for Dutch, how he showed the struggle in Roc to be committed to his faith, how he elaborated on Bernard Sr' background and how he brought Dutch to a crossroad that made him evaluate his life. However, Dutch's new hustle was a bit far-fetched (to say the least), for an FBI agent, Goldi's actions were unrealistic, Craze didn't stay true to character and Kwame's version left the story unfinished, so a finale it was not!

I thought Teri's version of Dutch's new hustle was much more realistic. I especially appreciated Teri explaining how Dutch actually escaped from the courthouse (although I preferred Kwame's ally for Dutch), how everyone seem to remain true to character and how she actually finished the story of Dutch...leaving no indication of continuation! However, I felt Teri rushed the ending. Seems no sooner than Angel & Roc reunited with Dutch the story was over. All in all, the Dutch Trilogy is a great read and I recommend everyone read all 4 books...like someone said; it's like watching an alternate ending to a movie!

Authentic? She's kidding right?
By AvidReader
Teri Woods should have left well enough alone. After reading the AUTHENTIC version of Dutch III by KWAME TEAGUE, I was too curious how Teri's would be! Don't waste your money!!!!! If you want AUTHENTIC, buy KWAME TEAGUE's version, which is as authentic as it gets. I am highly disappointed in Teri Woods' version. I should have saved my money because this was basically a watered down version of the REAL Dutch III. Don't waste your money here folks!!
